Factories of the Future (FoF), The Dance of Machine-Man and Data

We started to hear Factories of the Future (FoF) very often. As  the title implies, a business rationale that Machine-Man and Data will be dancing  is waiting for us.

Speaking machines are waiting for us!

As in every case, what the future world of production will be and / or how  it will look like  is a substantial  curiosity and research subject. With the speaking machines, which is one of the important concepts of Industry 4.0, a lot of experiments and studies, either academic or commercial, have been carried out on the subject of how machine and human being will communicate with each other.

Agile, adaptable and intelligent production processes

It is being talked on that in the factories of the future human  will come face to face with more standardized  but as much  complex processes, machines and components . In other words the  issue of whether we should understand that the careers of those doing well-organized and well-disciplined rather than creative business are brighter is open to debate. With these new optimized production concepts and the addition of  human-machine operations to the routes, it is expected that more agile, adaptable, as well as intelligent   production processes will be experienced. With this kind of  production combination, the concepts of "Virtual" and "Real" will live harmoniously  with each other and  thus, it will be possible to get more productive and  increased output. This structure will be able to survive sustainably in the businesses with less resource. Also, it is obvious that an important function, such as being able to respond faster to the market, will be provided to the businesses.

Not producing, but managing the data will earn money!

We can say that beginning of a new manufacturing phase is being talked about in the factories of the future model. Now businesses will have to be faced with full automation system in addition to the use of increasing technology.  It is even discussed that they will make their investments in data and day by day, they will better understand the value of the data they collected from the sensors inside and outside of manufacturing.   It should not be forgotten that we have entered into a process in which businesses not producing, but managing and knowing its data would survive.

Self-organizing value chains

With the new concept, I would like to point out briefly that having been optimized in real time within a dynamic structure, human, objects and systems, that is, a sort of self-organizing value chains would come into our life progressively.
